A TASTE OF THE VINEYARD GOURMET STROLL Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. Old Whaling Church Lawn, Main Street, Edgartown Join us for an amazing party - the kick-off to the Vineyard's summer social season! The Island's finest restaurants, caterers and beverage purveyors can all be found in the same place at the same time for this one night only. This is your chance to sample the Vineyard's best food, wine and hand-crafted beers as you catch up with old friends after a long, cold winter. After you've been sated with a "Taste" from more than 70 outstanding fine food and beverage participants, you can dance off all those calories with the hottest band around - Jerry Bennett and the Sultans of Swing. And, for great memories of the evening, photographer Joe Mikos will be there with his famous couch and "Shoot Yourself" camera. Your photos are available for purchase on line the very next day! A TASTE OF THE VINEYARD PATRONS' DINNER AND GALA AUCTION Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Dr. Fisher House Lawn, Main Street, Edgartown This is the second of two fabulous events that jumpstart the Vineyard's summer season. At the Patrons' Dinner and Auction, you'll feast on delectable hors d'oeuvres and savor fine beverages while previewing the auctions - Live and Silent. After an entertaining cocktail hour, you'll be invited to be seated for a palate-pleasing dinner with a tantalizing menu designed and created by V. Jaime Hamlin and Sons Catering. Then, hang on to your hats - here comes Trippy! Clarence "Trip" Barnes is our inimitable auctioneer - sometimes politically incorrect, often irreverent and always entertaining. FOURTH OF JULY BARBECUE Friday, July 4, 2008 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Old Whaling Church Lawn, Edgartown, MA 02539 Edgartown on the Fourth is classic Americana! Fella Caters offers you a classic American cookout - burgers and dogs with all the fixins' and much more! Bring the family, spread out your blanket and relax and enjoy a great meal while waiting for the parade to start. Free marching band concerts in the Old Whaling Church before and after the parade are fun for the whole family. Food is served a la carte and tickets are not needed to attend. It's a great place to have dinner after the parade and before the fireworks!
HOLIDAY COCKTAIL PARTY Friday, December 12, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Dr. Daniel Fisher House, Main Street, Edgartown MINNESINGERS HOLIDAY CONCERT Old Whaling Church at 8:00 p.m. Step into a magical world of holiday wonder at the beautifully decorated Dr. Fisher House for the annual Holiday Cocktail Party. Feast on bountiful hors d'oeuvres and enjoy fine beverages - you won't need dinner! After the party, stroll next door to the Old Whaling Church for a traditional holiday concert. We are proud to present the Island's premier student choral group - the MVRHS Minnesingers. It's a wonderful way to welcome the holiday season and the Christmas in Edgartown weekend. MINNESINGERS HOLIDAY FAMILY CONCERT Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. Old Whaling Church, Main Street, Edgartown The Preservation Trust proudly presents the MVRHS Minnesingers in their annual Holiday Family Concert at the Old Whaling Church. A delight for the entire family, admission is free for children twelve and younger. This concert is so much fun, even the jolly ol' elf himself can't stay away! That's right, Santa will be joining us, too! Fun for kids of all ages! $10.00 per person (13 and older)
