Saturday night’s Taste of the Vineyard Patrons’ Stroll and Auction is the second half of the Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust’s grand two-night “season opener” each June. It follows on the heels of Thursday’s Gourmet Stroll.
The delicious edibles offered at the Patrons’ Stroll are a catering collaboration between V. Jaime Hamlin & Sons, one of the Island’s most popular caterers; the Lighthouse Grill, the fine dining restaurant at Edgartown’s historic, full service and casually sophisticated Harbor View Hotel and Black Sheep Charcuterie & Market, Edgartown’s downtown destination for gourmet prepared foods.
Our guests are delighted with a plethora of passed hors d’oeuvres followed by dinner service at two food stations serving imaginative takes on Surf & Turf. The ubiquitous Vineyard Raw Bar serves icy cold shellfish from local waters, including oysters from Cottage City Oyster Farm. As the evening progresses, we offer Late Night Dim Sum for Dancing. We feature fine wines, deluxe spirits and craft beers and Island Cocktail Company serves two uniquely refreshing signature cocktails.
An outstanding Silent Auction offers our guests incredible opportunities to win the unique items and experiences that are offered for bid. It is outdone only by our extraordinary Live Auction, which is limited to truly exceptional items!
The Jon Bates Band is well known for their unbelievably broad repertoire of great songs from every era. An amazingly authentic, soulful and fun party band, they have an unparalleled reputation for creating the perfect ambience and ultimately getting everyone up on the dance floor.
The Patrons’ Stroll & Auction – an upscale concept for an elegantly casual evening out that will delight even the most discerning guests!
